
We always include at least 2 Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone lines with almost every eVSAT service we provide. The cost of any voice call is included in the fixed monthly fee for the VSAT service, so effectively costs nothing. The element from the breakout ashore to the final destination is a chargeable element. The charges vary upwards from a few US$ cents depending on destination and vary depending on the VSAT service provider.
The "breakout" can be assigned to selected countryThus the VoIP line will effectively be a national telephone line in the country chosen. This is usually selected as the country in which the owner, owner's office or management office is located, to ensure that all voice calls to the vessel are charge at national or evn local call rates.
