The Furuno NavNet 3D is a most impressive piece of engineering. With the incoporation of new TimeZero® technology, Furuno have created a chartplotter with blazing speed. The most amazing part is the utilisation of 3D charting architecture, showing the exact position of your vessel in a large number of chart presentation formats.
Mapmedia vectot and raster chart library
NavNet 3D utilises Mapmedia vector and raster charts. Based on the official paper charts from local hydrographic offices and related organizations, Mapmedia brings authentic vector and raster chart library for the area you are boating. It integrates the cutting-edge data analytic algorithm together with high-resolution image processing technique in order to bring digital navigation chart and satellite photography with absolute clarity and details into the NavNet 3D charting package. Once unlocked with a licence code from Mapmedia, you can experience an unprecedented level of charting sophistication. Mapmedia’s range of raster and vector charts are built upon 3D architecture, which is smoothly integrated with NavNet 3D’s TimeZero® technology to deliver seamless real time presentation.

Satellite Photofusion
Satellite photography is included in the Mapmedia Raster and Vector charts, and Satellite PhotoFusion™ with the charts is a feature available only with FURUNO’s NavNet 3D. Land areas (zero depth) are completely opaque, so that these areas are displayed as satellite photos on the chart. As the depth increases, the satellite photography becomes more transparent so that you will know where the shallows end and the deeper water begins, and also allowing the raster or vector chart to be visible.
On top of the cartography and satellite photography, you can save the following marks and points in the NavNet 3D internal memory:
up to 10,000 ship’s track points;
up to 2,000 points and
200 planned routes, within which up to 100 waypoints can be placed.
and much much more....
