GMDSS (Global Marine Distress and Safety System)
We can define your carriage requirements based on the yacht, cruising area and flag. We can specify the systems required and the power supplies if necessary, recommend correct locations, do all installations and take you through the relevant inspections.

We provide a Pre-Survey Inspection for any yacht about to undergo a Radio Survey .

We also provide 3 year Shore Based Maintenance Contracts to secure the functionality of the GMDSS equipment.

ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) Code
Under the new International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, Part A, there is a mandatory requirement, by July 2004, to fit an Automatic Identification System (AIS) and a Ships Security Alert System for all 30,000 SOLAS vessels.

The Code relates to Security issues to guard against possible threats such as terrorism, piracy and armed robbery.

This new code is relevant to some large yachts. Yachts have been fitting AIS equipment since early 2004.
